Computers for Locals
(The following resolution was adopted at the UNDE Triennial Convention.)
RESOLUTION #92-
WHEREAS fax machines are slowly being outdated by the internet;
WHEREAS communication within the union is approximately 90% electronic;
WHEREAS a number of locals could not afford to purchase a computer for the local;
WHEREAS the union needs to ensure the tools are available to the volunteers within the union;
BE IT RESOLVED THAT UNDE purchase a computer system for each UNDE local (as required);
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT the figure of $1,500 per system be used to budget.
