FR OPI REPORT

DND / CF FIREFIGHTERS WELLNESS ADVISORY COMMITTEE

The Wellness Committee meeting that was scheduled for this fall has been rescheduled for January 2008 due to the conflicting schedules of the FR OPI and the CFFM.

The Wellness Committee Initiatives as agreed to at the last Wellness Committee meeting is proceeding. The handouts explain these initiatives for 2007 and 2008.

FR STANDARD

It is the goal that once the collective bargaining process is completed, will be to work with the CFFM to approach the TB in hope of getting them to revisit their decision not to rewrite the outdated standard.

EARLY RETIREMENT

TB will not proceed on the business plan submitted by the CFFM for early retirement of FRs until the collective bargaining process is completed.
