HONOURS AND AWARDS COMMITTEE
Terms of Reference

Objective

To review applications submitted to the National Executive Committee [NEC] for UNDE Honours and Awards and makes recommendations to the NEC on which should be approved.

Committee Form

The Committee shal be appointed from duly elected members of the NEC by the National President.

Duties

The Committee is currently responsible for two functions:

a) Honorary and Life Membership Applications

The review of applications to ensure they meet the requirements of UNDE Bylaw 3 and the regulations thereto and to provide a recommendation of approval/rejection to the NEC.

b) Memorial Scholarship Applications

The annual review of applications received by National Office to ensure they are eligible, the prioritization of the applications for awarding of up to four $2,000 scholarships and to provide a recommendation to the NEC.
