2005 Ken Green Scholarship

The Union of National Defence Employees awards annual scholarships in the amount of $2,000 to four deserving children of UNDE members in good standing. The bursaries are offered in recognition of the devotion and unselfish service of Brother Ken Green to the membership.

Candidates must intend to register for the first time at a university of recognized standing or a recognized institute of higher learning on a full-time basis for the academic year.

The application is available on-line or by contacting the UNDE National Office. In addition to the application, the candidate must submit a 500-word essay on the topic of Canadian labour unions--past, present and future. Also required are brief statements from two teachers.

Applications are reviewed by the National Executive Honours and Awards Committee at their fall meeting. Deadline for receipt of applications is September 30, 2005.
